Hard-hit by Hurricane Sandy, the Pen Parentis Literary Salons are suspended until Wall and Water, the second-floor restaurant in Andaz Wall Street (75 Wall Street) can reopen. Please note that the Tuesday, November 13th, event is canceled. The three scheduled authors--Patricia Dunn, GAE POLSINER, and from Washington, DC, the Drue Heinz Literature prize-winner, DAVID EBENBACH--will be reading at the Salon on January 8th, 2013. Ms. Polsiner in particular was hard-hit by the storm: her home on Long Island is still without heat or power.

The December 11th 2012, 7pm, Alumni Night Gala will continue as planned with Amy Sohn, Karl Taro Greenburg, Robin Black and Joshua Henkin. Visit www.penparentis.org for up to the moment information.

Pen Parentis Literary Salons are made possible in part with public funds from the Manhattan Community Arts Fund, supported by the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs and administered by the Lower Manhattan Cultural Council. They are also funded in part by The Fund for Creative Communities with public funds from The New York State Council on the Arts, a state agency.
