"My Father's Child": a touching real-life story of one girl's account of being placed in home after home and the suffering and joy that she experienced as a result. "My Father's Child" is the creation of published author, Peggy Kelly, born in St. James, Missouri. Taken from her biological family when she was three years old, she was adopted by a family raising their nieces and nephews as their own. When she was seven those parents divorced and her dad was granted custody. She lived with her third family when she was ten years old. They adopted her when she was eleven. Her third family raised her in a Christian home. Her relationship with God kept her together and helped her to deal with the past. At age twenty-one, she married Curt Kelly. They live in Centralia, Missouri. They have two married children and five grandchildren. They love being grandparents. She loves to sew and do crafts. She especially enjoys making gifts. She loves music. She enjoys cooking and entertaining small groups. She enjoys sketching, embroidery and crocheting. She loves sitting by a bonfire in the fall with her husband or with a big group of friends. They hope to travel and see more of the world God created.

Published by Christian Faith Publishing, Peggy Kelly's new book is a hopeful tale of overcoming impossible challenges.

Autumn has come to the Missouri Ozarks and leaves are collecting on the ground. You can smell the spicy aroma they give off and hear the crackle underfoot. The gentle breeze blows and at this splendid time of year, Peggy Sue was born. She is the eighth of eleven children born into this family. Born into filth and poverty, it becomes clear she's not wanted. Before her first birthday, she's severely malnourished. Can her emaciated little body survive the daily beatings or worse? How many times will she miraculously escape death before she's delivered from this living hell? Feel the joy and relief when Peggy is adopted and settles into another family that lavishes her with food and love. This appears to be a Happily Ever After... Then watch as tragedy strikes her new family and the love and warmth she's grown accustomed to, suddenly becomes a nightmare once again. Did God rescue Peggy from one living hell only to abandon her into another? Is God near? Does He have a better plan for this girl?
