In Patricia Komar's second book in the Hollow Hills Explorers Series, "Missing in the Hollows" (published by Archway Publishing), Callie disappears from Hollow Hills Middle School, and classmates report last seeing her in the early morning hours sitting in the hallway.

As Callie wrestles with her own conscience from a bullying scheme that backfired on her, she finds herself in the forest surrounded by strange, mysterious, paranormal phenomena as she struggles to survive.

The Hollow Hills Explorers - Dalton, Faith, Finn and Oliver - along with their dogs, Spirit and Keeper, follow their noses to discover a mysterious portal at the front door of the school, and Spirit and Keeper might be the first dogs to travel to another dimension.

Komar hopes her readers have "an awesome time" reading the books, and take away "a sense that one will survive whatever 'tween' dilemma, problem or experience they are struggling with and a sense of comradery with The Hollow Hills Explorers, the club that (explores) the unknown."
