Melbourne, Australia

Teenage problems and an unconventional friendship are the backbone of Linda Rickard's "Divine Fury." As one teenager braves the odds set against her, she realizes that the world is far more mystical than she had ever allowed herself to believe. An unconventional amalgam of young adult issues and drama, teen superhero tales and romantic intrigue, "Divine Fury" merges the three genres in a way that keeps the current literary pop culture close.

Melbourne teenager Cassie Walker's life suddenly becomes engulfed in shame and scandal because of Alan Pavlich, a wolf in sheep's clothing. Meanwhile, a striking new student named Billy arrives to study at St Michael's. An unusual friendship soon forms between the two, with Billy opening Cassie's eyes to unearthly possibilities. An enigmatic tattoo comprised of black wings appears on her forearm, communicating with her and guiding her towards her true destiny-to Nemesis, the goddess of Justice and Vengeance, and ultimately to Atlantis, and the failed race that ruled supreme during ancient times. Earth is not what it seems, and merciless karma is at play. Through a dose of quirky intervention, Cassie tries to reclaim her life. That is, until she is forced to make the toughest life-altering decision she has ever faced yet.

Rickard's engrossing young adult fantasy novel leads readers into the mystical world of Cassie, spiced up with teenage romance, suspense and doses of humor. This novel is perfect for anyone who loves a good, otherworldly kind of adventure.
