PAPUA NEW GUINEA

Alfred Momia Lulu Sione's Lessons in Life is a small collection of poetry on life that muses on often amusing dramas that pass the eye due to their commonality. The poems dissect these aspects and expound on them for the reader's benefit, giving them an insight into matters that, while seemingly trivial in life, may have a grain of surprising profoundness within them.

The poems in Sione's work touch on common everyday life aspects that can happen anywhere around the world, save for a particular poem about the Arawa Town market in the Autonomous Region of Bougainville, Papua New Guinea. Through these introspective rhymes and verses, readers will be inspired to relook at the seemingly trivial occurrences in their lives, those understated moments that actually impact their personal lives greatly in unexpected ways.

The incidences and stories related in Sione's prose also give readers an insight into the dire repercussions from misdemeanors and other social ills they encounter or commit, as well as other interesting facts and facets of existence. Some of the scenarios may be hilarious and entertaining, but they also provide lessons in life worth taking note of that the reader would hopefully appreciate.
