Millions of women suffer abuse in silence without knowing where to turn. Author, Lisa M. Sobry, is a former victim of parental and spousal abuse who teaches women that it's never to late to escape domestic violence.

Sobry's latest novel, "I Survived, So Can You" is a compilation of stories submitted by women who have survived abuse, tragic loss and mental illness. Sobry wants readers to understand that no matter what they've been through, they are not alone and can move on to a successful life.

"I spread the message that victims should never feel that abuse is their fault," Sobry said. I've regained self-esteem, self-confidence and my own identity. In doing so, I seek to inspire other abuse survivors to take back control of their bodies as well as their lives.

Sobry stresses that no matter what someone may have endured, it's possible to overcome tragedy and live an amazing life. She believes the book will allow victims to gain the strength required to escape an abusive home or psychological rut.
