Dee (Pepper) Lois invites readers to join the Turner family as they continue their adventures around the world. The family travels to Mexico and celebrates Cinco de Mayo with close friends and the people of Mexico. As readers join "CHANTICO in The Land of the Aztecs" (published by AuthorHouse), they will experience a thrilling adventure that allows them to know more about Mexico's culture.

The three Turner teens and their friends visit the Aztec ruins and get trapped in the Land of the Aztecs. There is danger everywhere as the teens are in the middle of an impending war between two kingdoms in which two kings are determined to kill each other and take each other's people as sacrifices for the altar. The love between a princess and a prince is the only thing that stands in the way of thousands of people being killed and both kingdoms being torn apart. It is their love that can stop blood from being spilled on the altar. Can the 'teen archaeologists' help the young lovers unite the kingdoms before the two kings destroy them all?

Action and adventure await readers inside this book's pages. "This book has educational value," the author says. "We encounter people from different cultures and nationalities every day and what we've come to realize is that in many ways we are all alike."

An excerpt from the book:
When they turned on their flashlights and pointed them to the ground, Rebecca and Madalynn screamed, jumping onto their older brothers' shoulders and clinging for dear life. Cordero grunted in surprise and Billy staggered back as the girls tried to climb them like trees. Hundreds of rats swarmed across the floor and over their feet and the boys kicked them away as they hurried through the ruins with the two girls hanging on their brothers' backs. All six teenagers were terrified. None of them knew where they were going, or if they would ever make it through the ruins alive.
