New Children's Book with Positive Message is Released

Wizer the Owl is highly intelligent and proud of himself. He's happy to be different and follows his own path. All he needs now is a group of special, like-minded friends ready to experience all that life has to offer. Wizer spreads his wings and journeys to strange new lands to make friends in author Susan Kwiatkowski's debut book, "WizerBuddies: The Adventure of Making Friends" (published by Archway Publishing).

Kwiatkowski wanted to help children adjust to negative situations at an early age so she created a series of books to offer a positive message for children. In "WizerBuddies," the message is about diversity, friendship and reinforcement that children do not have to follow the crowd to be accepted.

"Behind every book I write there is a positive message for children," Kwiatkowski says. "I want readers to feel happy... learning positive lessons."

Kwiatkowski says she learned about making new friends through personal experience. Her father was in the military, so she attended many schools as a child. "Always being the new kid in town I learned how hard it can be to make friends and how cruel children can be to one another."

Susan Kwiatkowski lives in New Jersey with her husband, Bob, who encouraged her to follow her passion of writing children's books. She began writing at age 10 while traveling the world with her military family. Her family and travels are the inspiration for her books and characters. Kwiatkowski has a degree in business and has taken creative writing classes. Each book in the "WizerBuddies" series expands upon their friendship while visiting major cities and historic landmarks all over the world while teaching lessons that will sustain them through life.
