DENVER - According to neuropsychologist and author William D. Boyd, the recent increase in interest towards concussions, resulting from military actions and sports injuries, calls for professionals who work with this population to have a deeper understanding of "Post-Concussion Syndrome" (published by Xlibris). That is why he shares a book solely dedicated for the disorder.

Concussion is a mild traumatic brain injury, usually occurring after a blow to the head. Post-concussion syndrome, on the other hand, is a complex disorder in which various symptoms - such as headaches and dizziness - last for weeks and sometimes months after the injury that caused the concussion.

Having worked with people who suffered from concussion, Boyd now presents a comprehensive all-in-one book that defines post-concussion syndrome, provides basic rate of information, provides methods for assessing the disorder and provides information regarding evidence based-treatment of the above mentioned disorder.

This book is primarily published for the convenience of psychologists, neuropsychologists, neurologists, physicians and attorneys.
