Chattanooga, Tenn.

In his new book, "Summary of Life of Walter Caldwell Robinson" (published by Xlibris), author Malcolm J. Walker chronicles the life of Walter Robinson, an inspiring and powerful black leader that helped mold Chattanooga, Tennessee into what it is today. This is a story of a man who experienced amazing success as he dedicated his life to improving his fate and the lives of his fellow men.

Beginning in the 1920s, readers follow the life of Walter Robinson as he starts to progress as a leader. His actions eased the strife for first class citizenship for blacks through exercising the right to vote in an organized manner. It reveals how he organized a voting bloc that could determine winners in local elections. Even though Chattanooga was a strictly segregated city, he commanded the respect from white elected officials as he worked as a leader of blacks from his office at City Hall. This biography portrays Walter Robinsons' life as a successful businessman, an outstanding orator, an astute politician, and a powerful leader.

"Summary of Life of Walter Caldwell Robinson" is a testament to the extraordinary accomplishments that can be attained when people are working together - even when facing the greatest of obstacles.
