Native Richmonder, bestselling author and award-winning songwriter, Thornton Cline will bring his latest published books, "The Amazing Incredible Shrinking Piano" (ISBN: 978-1574243185) and "The Contrary" (ISBN: 978-1612965628) to the Central Virginia area for a free multimedia book event tour of libraries and festivals, October 13-19, 2015.

Cline will kick off his book event tour with a guest appearance on "Good Morning Richmond" on ABC affiliate, WRIC TV 8 at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, October 13 and will be featured author for the Main Writers Group Fundraiser Lunch at noon on that day at The Richmond Public Main Library located at 101 East Franklin Street in downtown Richmond. Award-winning guest journalist, Chris Dovi of WRIR will be moderating the free event.

Thornton Cline will make guest book signing event appearances at the Powhatan Public Library at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, October 14; the Buckingham Public Library at 10 a.m. and the Amelia Public Library at 2 p.m. on Thursday, October 15; the Blackstone Public Library at 10 a.m. and the Victoria Public Library at 2 p.m. on Friday, October 16; the Westover Hills Public Library at 11 a.m. and the Blackstone Wine Festival at 3 p.m. on Saturday, October 17; and at Blessed Sacrament Huguenot Academy on Monday, October 19 at 10:30 a.m.

"The Amazing Incredible Shrinking Piano" (ISBN: 978-1574243185) is Cline's second children's book illustrated by award-winning illustrator, Susan Oliver and published on Centerstream/Hal Leonard Publishing. His first children's book, "The Amazing Incredible Shrinking Violin" (ISBN: 978-1574243130) became an Amazon bestseller earlier this year. "The Contrary" is Cline's debut mystery/detective/thriller novel (first of a trilogy) published by traditional impendent publisher, Black Rose Writing.

Thornton Cline has been honored with "Songwriter of the Year" twice in a row for his hit song, "Love Is the Reason" recorded by Engelbert Humperdinck and Gloria Gaynor. He is a graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond. Cline resides in Nashville with his wife and children.
