In her new book, "It's a Sin to Be Boring" (published by Xlibris), Nancy Singletary weaves history and biographical themes to tell a story of love, family and the hard choices that are sometimes an inevitable part of life. This novel is a riveting journey deep into the heart of the human condition.

"It's a Sin to Be Boring" tells the story of Rebelle Palatine who marries her high school sweetheart during World War II. While waiting for the war to end, she lands a modeling job at a major department store in New York City. Rebelle's life takes a tragic turn when she learns that her husband has died in the Battle of the Bulge. She moves back to Ohio and desperately tries to suppress her grief. The political turmoil of the era begins to seep into the daily grind of life and forces Rebelle to make difficult choices that will not only leave an indelible mark on her life but three generations of her family.

Suffused in the zeitgeist of the World War II era, "It's a Sin to Be Boring" opens a window into both history and the yearnings of the human heart.
