Author Charlie Pedersen offers readers a water and energy strategy for the U.S. in his new book, "NOIS²E: No Oil Imports from Sunni/Shiite Exporters" (published by iUniverse).

"Tell me: what is our current energy and water strategy?" Pedersen asks. "You really don't know. How will that dress the next billion people on the planet? You have no idea."

Pedersen leans on 10 years of self-propelled research on water and energy issues as he discusses his solution for effecting major changes in the economy and environment. He says that statistical trends project a significant population increase in the next 11 to 12 years. "NOIS²E" is Pedersen's roadmap to transform the world to accommodate the water and energy needs of a large number of additional people.

"The U.S. and to some degree, the world, is stuck in the quagmire of oil dependency that resulted in war, a disrupted economy and no clear path out," Pedersen says. "My solution will produce an era of innovation and growth that will lead to the elimination of drought and famine in the 21st century."

It is Pedersen's goal to restore the economies of the world, move the world away from war and move the "global village" towards its potential in the next 20 to 50 years.
