The National Football League and NBC launched today a new season of TOGETHER WE MAKE FOOTBALL, an invitation to anyone inspired by the game of football - whether as a player at any level or a fan - to share their story for a chance to win a trip to SUPER BOWL 50.

The campaign will unfold weekly throughout the NFL season, beginning September 11, with segments airing Fridays on TODAY and culminating in a nationally televised NFL FILMS special on NBC on Divisional Playoffs Weekend.

Fans may visit TODAY.COM/TWMF now and share a video or photo with a description detailing how football inspires them. Stories submitted through Monday, November 2 will be entered into the CONTEST that will produce a winner of a trip to SUPER BOWL 50 in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Following the deadline for submissions, a joint NFL and NBC panel will select five finalists whose stories will be turned into short features by NFL Films. The features will be unveiled weekly on TODAY beginning Friday, December 4 and the winning story will be announced live on TODAY on January 8, 2016. Stories that air on TODAY also will be posted on NFL.com/videos/twmf throughout the season.

This is the latest iteration of the "Together We Make Football" campaign that launched in 2013. Over the past two years, thousands of fans shared their stories of what football means to them. A select few had their stories told on TODAY and some even won trips to Super Bowl.

Football is America's favorite sport by a wide margin. There are more than four million kids who play youth football, more than one million HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL players, more than 700 COLLEGE FOOTBALL teams with 70,000 players, as well as all their parents and siblings. There are 161 million COLLEGE FOOTBALL fans and 185 million NFL fans according to the 2014 ESPN Sports Poll. For the past 50 years, according to The Harris Poll, the NFL has been America's most popular sport and football (professional and college) is the favorite sport of nearly half of America's sports fans (42 percent). Together We Make Football is seeking stories that show how the millions who play and watch are inspired by the game they love.
