When an orange and white cat wanders up to Maestro's door, the teenager thinks nothing of taking him in, attracted by the cat's unusual reaction to music. Little does he know that Gattone, who stars in this new book, is a 3,000-year-old Egyptian shaman searching for the magic words of power to bring his young Egyptian consort back to life. The teenager, his girlfriend and a contemporary shaman embark on an unforgettable journey that takes them to ancient Egypt and the consort's mummy.

In "Waiting for Dawn," the ancient shaman must battle the sun god Amun-Ra, helped by the protection of the gods Isis and Osiris but hindered by fate. As Maestro and his companions learn more about the shaman's life and gifts, they discover the power of the mind and experience mystical events that will leave them forever changed. The story combines elegant language and description, featuring an adventure driven by a passion that endures for centuries.
