SOUTHINGTON, Conn.

A lonely ghost falls in love with a mortal girl in Mary Clark's new paranormal romance, "Affection of a Ghost" (published by Trafford Publishing).

In a tiny graveyard, there lives a ghost named Todd who wishes for nothing more than to live again. When a family moves into a beautiful house not far from the graveyard, Todd catches a glimpse of the family's beautiful daughter Vicky, whom he falls in love with.

Desperate to meet her, Todd seeks the help of a warlock named Vincent, who lives in the cottage next to the graveyard. Vincent brews a potion to make Todd come back to life, but he will only have until the stroke of midnight on the night of the next full moon, which happens to be in one week, to make Vicky fall in love with him. If she doesn't return his love, Todd will turn back into a ghost.

Readers will cheer Todd along as he tries to remember how to be human once more and capture Vicky's heart. Through Todd's character, Clark hopes to create a fresh, positive perspective on ghosts.

An excerpt from "Affection of a Ghost":

"In a dull, lonesome graveyard, there dwelled a young ghost named Todd. He had been a ghost for several years. He envied the living; however, he did not frighten or harm them in any way. Todd merely yearned to be among the living again. In a cottage right next to the graveyard, hidden by the thick trees, weeds, and bushes, lived Vincent, a mysterious warlock."
