"Friends, family and people in general loved my previous books," says author Martin Patterson. It inspired him to write another book, but this time around, he added a few sci-fi twists and tries to mix it up a bit.

"Trilogy of Terror" (published by Xlibris) consists of three compelling sci-fi stories. Nano Terror takes place in a future world where people live longer with the help of tiny robots inside the body enhancing the immune system, but when they begin attacking the brain, murder and mayhem erupts on a grand scale. This story revolves around the characters of Amber Styles and Duncan Taylor who team up and endure hardships on a world gone violently mad.

Then there is Planet of Woe, where Captain Drake Durum of the Planetary Alliance fights the indigenous species on an alien planet, a struggle to keep the mining of a valuable metal ore at full capacity while fending off thousands of bloodsucking parasites until victory is achieved. Lastly, there is Throne of a Demon that is about an evil vampire who challenges a Roman centurion and the soldiers under his command, as it wants blood sacrifices.

"Trilogy of Terror" will appeal to mature readers because it has plenty of blood and gore but has character development based on real human beings. The ending of each story will filter out to a satisfying conclusion.
