Author Mark Brennan Rosenberg will kick off the forty-city book tour for his critically acclaimed book of essays "Blackouts and Breakdowns" January 5th at 7pm at the Kirk Theatre on Theatre Row located at 410 West 42nd Street at Ninth Avenue in New York City. The event will feature a reading from Rosenberg as well as an open bar and is open to the public.

Rosenberg is about to embark on an unprecedented forty city book tour to promote "Blackouts and Breakdowns" where he will be doing readings from his book in theatres, bookstores, galleries, community centers, bars and speaking at college campuses all across the country, ending in New York with the launch of his second book "Eating My Feelings" on April 19, 2012.

"Blackouts and Breakdowns" is a no holds barred look into the life of a twenty something very gay, very fabulous, very alcoholic young man. Mark tells his hysterical tale by giving the reader eleven short stories ranging from teenagers stealing nativity scenes off of stranger's lawns to attempting to pick up a deaf guy in a bar by pretending to know sign language. Brutally honest and funny, "Blackouts and Breakdowns" sends a message of hope for young people battling addiction. In the end, Rosenberg emerges from being a fall down drunk to being a true hero for all people who have come out of the dark and into a life of sobriety and happiness. "Blackouts and Breakdowns" is available at www.blackoutandbreakdowns.com and Barnes and Noble stores across the country.
