The No Bullying website has revealed that 83 percent of girls and 79 percent of boys report being bullied either in school or online. Behind this staggering number of victims are individuals (both youth and adults) who feel the various effects of such treatment from others. In his ongoing campaign against bullying. Author and life coach Mark Johnson shares the "ABC's for Bully Prevention, Simple as 1-2-3" (published by Xlibris) using letters of the alphabet to correlate to victimization, bullying and intervention. Using words that are simple yet clearly applicable, Johnson is able to easily communicate to his intended audience: middle and high school students. With its many relevant life principles, the book is also a training tool for adults of any social stature.

The concepts revealed by Johnson challenge the reader to develop an out-of-the-box perspective on how to approach bullying and reduce its negative effects. According to the author, "children are not born to hate; they are taught to hate." He then urges readers to use the wisdom found in this book in order to reverse that cycle.

"Bullies and victims can become friends by understanding the golden rule of life," Johnson concludes.
