Please join us in celebrating the release of Moyra Davey's new book Burn the Diaries published by Dancing Foxes Press. Moyra and novelist and translator Alison Strayer will read from their texts.

Thursday June 26, 2014, 7-9 pm
Murray Guy, 453 West 17th Street

In Burn the Diaries, Davey considers the work of French writer and political activist Jean Genet while examining fugitive moments from her own life. An essay by Alison Strayer expands on Davey's reflections. The publication is an artist's book that accompanies a new film (My Saints) and was recently shown in Vienna alongside her signature folded photographs; a version of this exhibition will travel to the ICA Philadelphia in September 2014.

Copies of Moyra Davey: Burn the Diaries (MuMOK, Vienna; Institute of Contemporary Art, University of Pennsylvania; and Dancing Foxes Press, 2014) will be available for purchase and signing at the event.
