TOLONO, Ill.

Following the successful release of her first collection of contemporary poems, poet Lynne Proctor Sancken reveals yet another volume of her widely celebrated literary work with "Unmarked Crossings" (published by Xlibris). The second book bares a rich compendium of the author's previously published poems along with a generous count of her new pieces.

"Unmarked Crossings," according to Sancken, is a creative assemblage of 'new realizations.' It charts the pivotal moments in life that shed light to previously darkened pavements of existence. Diverse as it is remarkable, her collection uniquely fashions transcendent messages that communicate to readers on an intimate level, touching varied themes including the pains of losing, the intricate domains of love, beauty, war, death and goodbyes. While a vast majority of her poems are propped against the backdrop of typical settings, the author's ability to squeeze art out of the ordinary makes each poetry stand out among others, pervading distinctive character and singularity.

The anthology features sets of free verse and haikus, some of which are reprints and individual dedications. Sancken also showcases her artistic side with the black and white artworks suffused within the collection.

Excerpt from "Unmarked Crossings:"
There are times when, without flushing lights or fanfare, we cross over into a new way of
understanding. These are the unmarked crossings of our lives.
