"A Time For Memories" (published by Xlibris UK) written by Lyn Burgess Nee Langhorn is a fictional story of wartime romance between Rosy and Derek, two people whose love for each other got caught up in the middle of World War II. It revolves around the characters of Rosy, a nurse at a local hospital and Derek, a pilot who flies Lancaster planes who both fell in love with each other. After they got married, Derek left Rosy in order to resume his military duties.

Derek and his crew have to go on a dangerous mission to raid enemy territory. During the mission, they run into trouble and the Lancaster had gone down in a field. It seemed they had escaped before it went up in flames. Derek and the rest of the crew were reported to have been missing in action. Back home, a worried and pregnant Rosy, as well as the family of those crewmen with Derek, have heard the news and are all worried. Will they make it back home and reunite with their respective families?

"This book will appeal to readers because although it is about war, it reflects a story of a soft, gentle loving family sticking together to get over a crisis and how friends, neighbors and some strangers are all too willing to help each other," says the author.
