Can the Eastons keep themselves alive long enough to see their plans come to fruition, and will the prisoners at Easton I create a viable living situation? Will the dream of Easton I remain a reality?

Author Lyle A. George gleaned the seed for this novel from his father, a captain with the State Reformatory who firmly believed that habitual criminals should be incarcerated separately from criminals serving time for lesser offenses. His ideas helped George create the prison featured within the novel. George, a Korean War veteran, lives in Colorado. This is his first novel.
