Lisa Friedman, a doctoral student in Special Education and full-time teacher of children with special needs, has completed her first book "Tommy, I Have Down's Syndrome": a gripping and potent story that depicts the compassion and struggles when dealing with special needs children.

"I am inspired to write books about children with special needs in a positive light. I would like to write books on autism and cerebral palsy too," author Lisa Friendman said.

Published by New York City-based Page Publishing, Lisa Friedman's poignant tale shares the author's experiences as a full-time teacher of children with special needs. The book is about love, education and acceptance. It is a glimpse into the honesty and importance of children, especially those with special needs.
