Legacy Entertainment Partners, LLC has announced its collaboration with Matthew Wilder to bring Morning Has Broken to international film audiences - based on true events, this is the story of a young runaway girl who moves in with a seemingly harmless, elderly, Academy Award-winning songwriter. It all seems perfectly normal...until his dark side unleashes a CHAIN REACTION of ghastly events. A very darkly comic treatment of an unfortunately very true Hollywood crime saga.

Matthew Wilder is in Cannes right now attending the world premiere of his script DOG EAT DOG, directed by the legendary Paul Schrader and starring Nicolas Cage and Willem Dafoe. DOG was chosen as the closing night selection of the Directors' Fortnight sidebar at Cannes.

"It is exciting to get to work on MORNING with Gena Vazquez and Luis Sinibaldi," Wilder said. "This is a macabre tale based on an anecdote someone told me a few years ago--one that is, horrifyingly, quite true! I think our treatment of this 'true Hollywood story' will really impact people; to quote Pauline Kael about another yarn, 'It's the kind of movie where things turn out so much worse than you imagined that you have to laugh.'"

"Morning Has Broken" is shooting on location in New York and Los Angeles in late 2016.
