As a naval officer on active duty in Atsugi, Japan, author Lee Pierce witnessed that people of all ages and various cultures did not know how to pray. With her new book, "Time to Pray: Live in Abundance Now" (published by iUniverse), Pierce hopes to inform and inspire the masses to pray for their personal situations, their families, friends, coworkers and for their nations.

"Our society has taken prayer out of schools and public assemblies," Pierce says. "Now, with generations that are choosing not to take their children to church, we have generations that do not think they can pray to God. Prayer is a life resource. Prayer provides insight. Become a prayer warrior today!"

Pierce uses biblical examples of prayer to help readers develop their prayer lives. She identifies the many opportunities life provides in which to find time to pray. She assures readers that, no matter what they may be experiencing, it is never too big for God - it is an opportunity to talk to God. She has coined the hashtags "#timetopray" and "#time2pray" as ways to help readers incorporate prayer into their social-media-driven lives. More information is available at http://www.time2pray.net.

"Through prayer, God can help people to live lives of abundance," Pierce says. "When you increase your prayer time and release hurt, jealousy and hatred, you will live in God's abundance."
