"Just Poems" (published by Xlibris) is author Larry Logan's compilation of poetry that was written during four confusing and painful years that began with the end of a 30-year marriage and then the sudden loss of a 17-year career. Through rhythm and rhyme, it depicts a search for meaning in the interaction of self, life and divinity following a massive meltdown.

This poignant compilation shares a poetic journal of mental illness, depression, self-harm, alcoholism, suicide, abusive relationships and spiritual crisis. It gives an authentic peek at these crippling matters as it deconstructs them through the means of an elegant sadness found in Logan's poems.

"These are not my poems, nor do they belong to the reader, and they do not exist unto themselves," author Logan explains. "Each one is like a tree unaware that it is. When a poem is ready for birth, it talks to me, and I write it. It is just a poem, like a tree is just a tree. There are no good or bad trees-just trees, just poems."

Magnetic, powerful and touching, "Just Poems" is a compilation that strives to resonate within readers by echoing emotions that have been infused in the captivating essence of words.
