On October 8, 2015, Lawrence A. Bass will publish his premiere novel, Broken Soul, as the first installment in his New Age/Modern Fantasy series-The Shadow War Saga. Broken Soul will launch on Amazon in print and electronic versions. The e-book will also be available on Nook.

Merging timeless folklore with Christian theology, Broken Soul creates a unique tapestry of characters and events. Deep, dark, and action-oriented, the story reveals a twist on the universal battle between good and evil. Bass's 348-page novel provides a raw human theme-encouraging readers to look within to discover the power to overcome challenges and personal weakness.

In conjunction with the release of the novel, Bass will be signing books at the Buttercream Cupcake Café in Chesapeake, Virginia on October 15, 2015 from 7-9 pm.

"Fantasy and science fiction have been an integral part of my life," said Mr. Bass. "Writing my own series comes after years of inspiration from talented writers such as Jonathan Maberry and Larry Correia."

Broken Soul Synopsis:
Lucifer is real, and he lives among us. Unfortunately, the first of the Fallen has gone mad, and he will do anything to avoid his fate as foretold in the Book of Revelations. To this end, Lucifer brings forth his son, Lucien, far sooner than prophesied, to shift the odds in his favor. Much to Lucifer's dismay, his son cares little for the War and is, instead, driven by his own lust for chaos.

The Quorum-a supernatural Illuminati composed of angels, vampires, and warlocks-is aware of Lucifer's plan and makes a drastic move to save the world. Under the supervision of the Quorum, a child named Jasper Perkins is stripped of his soul to become the perfect warrior. But have the members of the Quorum unwittingly added to the chaos by creating something over which they have no control?
