VINTON, Va.

Author L. Lincoln Clark debuts into the world of fiction with her newly released title, "Inherit the Wind" (published by Xlibris). This romantic suspense novel explores the depth of extreme human attitudes that spiral into a chase for life, love and ultimate fate.

Jen's life is perfect: a devoted husband who is heir to the Stevens fortune, perfect home, perfect future and she is expecting her first child. Life is great. That is until one fiery car crash throws Jen's life into a tailspin of deceit and confusion. Jen's sister-in-law, Alicia, wants the entire Stevens fortune and the only thing standing between her and what she so desperately seeks is Jen's unborn child. Jen doesn't know whom to turn to. She is running for her life and for that of her unborn child. Sick, tired and down to her last six dollars, Jen is in desperate need for help. Surprisingly, that help comes from an unlikely source. With the nudging of his housekeeper, reclusive, ill-tempered novelist Mitch Gunther comes to Jen's rescue. Thus begins a story of suspense and gradual love as Mitch and Jen embark on a journey that leads from the valleys of Virginia to the mountains of East Tennessee as they seek to evade Alicia's henchmen and keep Jen's child and heir safe.

Vivid and climactic, "Inherit the Wind" deliberately captures the passion and sentiments that shape the overall impact of the story. It impresses strong insights on significant human values and emphasizes the importance of being responsible for one's actions.
