HONEFOSS, Norway

In his eye-opening, absorbing memoir, "Rice Grains in Wheat Barns" (published by Xlibris), author Krishna Prayaga depicts his life journey to reflect the challenges of transition from a culture of inheritance to a culture of acquisition. This collection of memories and moments shares daring, dramatic stories that are laced with humor and insight.

Depicting how destiny transformed the life of a peasant boy from a decrepit village into an internationally recognized doctor, Prayaga also describes the socio-morphology of rural Indians through the remarkable events that took place in his life. It reveals his interactions with various cultures in three different continents and how he struggled to maintain the traditions, manners and heritage of his nationality.

"Life is layers and layers of experience packed in a secret memory box contained in the cranium I dug deep into," the author explains, "I tried to peep at the contents through the prismatic eyes of a narrator. It looked colourful and multidimensional."

"Rice Grains in Wheat Barns" strives to illuminate the quality of human relationships and the depth of the power of destiny. He encourages readers to let their curiosity about the world's diversity grow through his problems in both home and work life in seven different countries. Through his fast-track, determined and passion-fueled life, Prayage hopes his experiences will resonate within the reader as they learn about the importance of understanding one another.
