A life survivor herself, author Kathryn David's personal dream is to inspire and touch lives with her story. Through her debut publication, David is able to reach readers who are having a hard time escaping the shadows of their past. "Enigma" (published by Xlibris AU) is the story of one girl who had taken a journey to dig deep within her soul in an effort to uncover the mystery beneath the rubble that was her former life.

David firmly believes that personal past experiences can affect people, but their influence depends on how far a person wants them to affect him or her. A woman's excruciating account of how she learnt to deal with her life and the world around her shows readers the journey she took to become stronger and never feel worthless again.

Through Ariel's story of personal redemption and triumph over life's odds, the author is able to communicate the message of resilience and man's control over the influence of his past on his present.

"I wanted to show that despite the odds anyone can conquer their demons and rise above the obstacles life can throw at them," David says, "I also want those who don't believe in themselves to begin believing because they and they alone can change their life and sometimes even surprise themselves."
