As a teacher of children and professional storyteller, author Judi Schleppenbach shares an entertaining story of how a little girl travelled around the world in "Zappity Zip, Just That Quick!" (published by Xlibris). Illustrator, Cynthia McManigal has taught for decades at The Sundance School in North Plainfield, along with Judi and Alyssa Jobe who accomplished the design layout. The Sundance School incorporates the creative arts across the curriculum.

This is an imaginative multicultural tale about a young girl who travels around the world, joining in cultural celebrations full of music and dancing. Readers join in her joyful and adventurous journey wherein predicable text, song and chances for participation delight and engage young listeners/readers. While opening door for questions about one's own cultural roots.

"When we explore our amazing diverse world, rich in cultural traditions, we find that people may seem different until we look closer, and it turns out that we are similar in many ways," Schleppenbach points out. "Especially in all the ways we celebrate love, family and community."

In an increasingly global world, this book highlights the importance of finding commonalities among diverse cultures. "Zappity Zip, Just That Quick!" strengthens the author's belief that, "When people can find what they have in common, they find they are not that different from each other."
