Author Joseph E. Champoux, Ph.D., a cinema instructor, presents film scenes that can be used by teachers and professionals alike to explain organizational behavior concepts and issues in his new guide to business theory, "Take Five: Organizational Behavior Alive" (published by Archway Publishing).

"Films offer a rich resource for teaching and learning organizational behavior theories, concepts and issues," Champoux asserts. "I have carefully viewed and chosen film scenes that show these concepts and issues."

Champoux selects scenes from famous motion pictures like "You've Got Mail," "Breakfast at Tiffany's" and "The Little Mermaid" as reference points for readers to learn these concepts. Each chapter features four different scenes that serve to educate the reader on topics such as power and political behavior, personality, technology and organizational culture.

At the end of each chapter is a note-taking section readers can use to analyze the scenes they've watched, gauge their personal reactions and ask themselves Champoux's suggested reflection questions about the business topic being discussed.

Champoux hopes his book helps readers have a better understanding of organizational behavior and how it affects their everyday lives.
