EVANSVILLE, Ind. - Jason Coursey is an author who wants to write something from a different perspective just like the soul's perspective before it has a body or even the perspective of an unborn child. And thus, he has written "A Tale Of Two Claws," (published by Xlibris) a compelling novel that attempts to capture the grand paradox of life that starts before one is conceived, while one is in the womb, after birth and beyond death. It examines those events that one can and cannot control and how one might allow those events to shape their life.

This story is told from the perspective of Lob/William Clamatus, a boy born with claws instead of hands. From birth, he is flung headlong into the absurdities of life. He searches for a father he never knew, lives with a mother that hates him and trades him to a doctor for a few bottles of whiskey, has a bloody encounter with Jack The Ripper and falls in love with Sara, a remarkable woman. But little do the two of them know that after their child is born; life will take a tragic turn.

"This novel is entertaining and relatable," says Coursey. "While it entertains, it also tackles many of those recurring questions that pop up in every generation like why was I born this way? Is there a God? Do my choices matter?"

Coursey believes that in the modern world, it is easy for a child to be perceived as an accident, mistake or a penalty. He hopes that "A Tale Of Two Claws" will stir up thought and conversation with what time is spent from the perspective of the unborn. Readers will also be able to see themselves in Lob's character as they read about him.
