Jane-Alexandra Krehbiel Explore Proactive Survival in RATIONAL PREPAREDNESS

An article recently posted by BBC News shows images of wounded civilians and casualties of the ongoing Syrian war. In a hospital in Aleppo City, children, adults and the elderly are continuously waiting for care from doctors, who try to save as many lives as they can. Although this is presently happening in the Middle East, those in the Western world can learn and apply that disasters and terrorism can occur anywhere in the world through either man made or natural means and that we all can be better prepared when disasters strike. In line with this, author Jane-Alexandra Krehbiel shares Rational Preparedness: A Primer for Preparedness, a comprehensive starting point which takes disaster preparedness concepts and translates them into reasonable, step by step advance actions that families can take in order to better anticipate and respond to tragedies whether natural or terroristic in nature.

There are many books which discuss survivalism and disaster preparation, however it is rare to find one which tackles the urgent need for family preparedness in an orderly fashion from zero preparations on. Rational Preparedness outlines and prescribes immediate actions which can be taken in order to better anticipate disasters that will save your life and the lives of family members. The book focuses on two main strategies for survival: one, what to have available and when to shelter-in-place, and two, when to evacuate, and what items to have assembled and organized prior to doing so. From illustrating the general concepts of evacuating, and sheltering-in-place to delving into the details of survival tools, and many more, this book creates an organized and step by step approach for ordinary families providing a clear idea of what to do first, especially at a time when confusion and panic can impede a family's ability to proceed reasonably.

The Common denominator between the Katrina hurricane in Louisiana, the 9/11 attack in New York, the 2011 Tsunami in Japan, the earthquake in Haiti, and all the catastrophes in world history is that many people were not prepared. Rational Preparedness changes this pattern and offers an immediate solution prior to the onset of calamity. A useful and easy-to-understand manual, this book is every household's must have.
