Taking inspiration from the life of his brother, James D. Savage explores the human instinct for justice and revenge in his new novel, "Vengeance Is Mine" (published by AuthorHouse).

Growing up, the protagonist James was bigger, stronger and more intelligent than his peers and teachers, but his mother lacked the ability to protect him. He wound up making a series of mistakes, and the bigger ones landed him in federal prison. After getting out of prison, James began turning his life around and became an airline pilot, but federal agent Damien Gacy can't let James go and makes it his mission to ruin James' life.

This tragic yet compelling story focuses on James' refusal to give up until he exacts his very serious revenge on those who had wronged him and finally achieves the success, wealth and love he always wanted.

An excerpt from "Vengeance Is Mine":

"It has been said that to live well is the best revenge. I couldn't disagree more. The ones who tried to ruin my life couldn't care less about how I managed to survive, but they sure as hell care about getting blown up."

"Much of what is written in this book is true ... this book tells the good and the bad and does not paint anyone out to be what they are not." Savage explains. "It is first and foremost a story of vengeance on those who set out to ruin a good man's life."
