TAMPA, Fla.

Can we teach our children personal and societal responsibility at a young age? Author and mother, Virginia Stringer believes every child must learn these important lessons earlier in life, to become an influential and positive citizen within our communities.

Stringer's new novel, "Just Maagy," teaches children and young adults the importance of honesty, trust, humility and personal and societal responsibility in a fun, entertaining way.

"As a mother, actor, stage director and writer, I have experienced many children and adults who are surrounded by others who suffer from a temper, laziness and stubbornness," said Stringer. "I wanted to write an entertaining, whimsical, yet educational, novel for children and young adults, to help point out these habits."

"Just Maagy" is the first in a four-book series, encompassing the adventures the protagonist Maagy encounters as she grows and experiences life lessons that every young girl and boy will face within their lifetime.

Stringer's new novel contains mysteries to solve, humorous situations and lessons for everyone. "Just Maagy" is easy to read with creative illustrations, maps and vocabulary, with a timeless theme of empowerment for young women.

"Power exists in many forms, physical, intellectual, financial, educational and perhaps magical," said Stringer. "Maagy's power, however, is ultimately determined by her choice to become a righteous and honorable person."
