J.K.E. Rose compares love to a dragon in her new book of poetry, "The Dragon in the Room: Is Love Too Much To Ask For?" (published by iUniverse).

"This book is for women - and men - who both kill love and let it die in front of them because they don't know the words to save it," Rose says.

Chronicling her thoughts about love, Rose assures readers that love means pain, sadness, joy, laughter, blood and certain death. Despite the bad, she encourages readers in their quests to love - both themselves and others - and be loved.

"There are many kinds of love and the only thing you need to be happy is to trust yourself," Rose says. "Be doubtless that you will stand up after you have been knocked down and doubtless you will be knocked down. Just trust yourself to get back up."

Rose shares her experiences with love, in hopes they will be relevant to readers' lives as well. Her poetry encompasses the love in a marriage and for children as well as the fears and desires that accompany such strong emotions, along with her encouragement to readers that, in the end, it's all worth it.
