"My Family": a timeless and engaging children's tale featuring a human baby who finds himself in a nest with birds, but uses his uniqueness to save his new family. "My Family" is the creation of published author, JD, a native of Cuba and celebrated artist.

JD says he found his desire to create art for children after asked to develop a piece for his church. "It wasn't till I was a teen at my church, that my pastor saw my art work and told me how talented I was... and asked me if I would be interested in painting a mural for the children of my church. At first, I hesitated and told him I wasn't worthy of doing such a piece, since I had no prior knowledge or experience with such types of work. Because of the size and magnitude I was nervous. But he told me that he trusted me and as long as I did it with heart and passion that it would come out perfect... and when I finished, everyone was amazed."

Published by Christian Faith Publishing, JD's new book explores how color, race, or ethnicity does not make people different. It makes them unique. Christians are all family; all children of God. In this delightful tale, a baby hatches from an egg in a bird's nest. Little does he know that his family are birds, but he notices that the difference between them doesn't change the love they have for one another.
