Gary Ward, has completed his new book "Panterra - The Machinist": a gripping and potent tale of human perseverance, strength, and adaptation to new surroundings and challenges.

Gary received a BA in English Literature, Creative Writing - Poetry, from the University of Cincinnati. He was prepared to be a starving artist, but he met this girl, so he got a job. Many, many years later (yes, still married to that same girl) he's an expert in retirement planning and currently manages the benefits for the faculty and staff of a private research university. His family includes two cats.

Published by New York City-based Page Publishing, Gary Ward's poignant tale takes the reader on a brilliantly crafted journey, full of intricate characters and conflicts. Ward creates a splendid fantasy world that is sure to engross all who read it.

Arlington Moore, First Machinist Mate of the RTS Selkirk, is shipwrecked in a foreign land. Separated from his crewmates, it's taken him nearly four years to physically adapt. He's happy with his isolation and has found a new home in a fishing village, a purpose to his life, and the love of a family he's never known. When the matriarch of the village orders him to seek out his crewmates, he reluctantly obeys, if only to find the woman he still loves. But then Dr. Barcelona Cortes finds him. She brings with her a three-year-old child and is pursued by imperial guards from a nearby kingdom, intent on returning her to her prison.

Readers who wish to experience this gripping work can purchase"Panterra - The Machinist" at bookstores everywhere, or online at the Apple iTunes store, Amazon, Google Play or Barnes and Noble.
