"Douglas Jerrod" follows the case of patient 48564, also known as Doug Jerrod, a patient in a government facility for the criminally insane. Although Doug appears to be simply a delusional person, beneath all the crazy-sounding talk is a man who is misunderstood. As Douglas travels back and forth between his reality and another reality, he gains knowledge about events in his own time that he can use for greater good - although it might be hard finding someone who will believe him.
As Douglas tries to intervene in his family's life, he receives a warning that the next time he does so it may not end in a way that he likes. He and his fate become intertwined with the earnest doctor who does his best to treat him. More than a simple thriller, Sapp's imaginative story calls into question reality itself and what happens when one man dares to take on Fate itself.
