Author Francesca Camp wasn't always a steadfast supporter of plastic surgery. But just as her career in plastic surgery fell into her lap, so too did her support of the practice; a terrible car accident years ago left her injured and in need of reconstructive surgery.

In her new book, "Do I Need It? (And What if I Do?): Answers to All Your Questions about Plastic Surgery" (published by Archway Publishing), Camp discusses the many questions she sees asked by those wanting plastic surgery, about the recovery process and more.

"I've been working with plastic surgery patients for more than 20 years," Camp says. "I've seen a lot of patients' confusion, and a lack of practical information about the process. So I decided to do something about it."

Unlike the books that discuss the actual surgeries, Camp's book acts as a handholding guide for the plastic-surgery experience. In her book, she discusses the entire process of plastic surgery, before, during and after. She includes "down-to-Earth" tips and post-surgical care advice as well, to ensure patients have a full recovery.

Camp hopes her book will not only help those who plan on undergoing plastic surgery, but also help people decide if it is the right choice for them.
