Frances J. Smith, a wife, mother of three, and grandmother of seven, has completed her first book "A Puppy's Special Day": a gripping and potent story about a very lonely puppy and his wishes of finding a friend.

When asked about the message of her book, Smith said "This book is for all the children who dream of having puppies who could talk to them. And that one day, as they shop around for that special puppy, they too would see the gleam in their eyes, and believe that the puppy can talk. The message would be to always never stop hoping and dreaming and that wishes really do come true. The puppy has an innocent and childlike nature. He's very loveable, and makes friends with all the other dogs he meets. He's always asking questions, and sometimes wonders if he is truly loved."

Published by New York City-based Page Publishing, Smith's poignant tale reminds the reader never to give up on their dreams. Even when life seems dim, holding on to hope can change everything.

The book takes the reader on an adventure into a dark and dismal toy factory, where a poor puppy sits all alone. Though his situation is disheartening, the puppy never abandons his optimism. He finds that by believing his wishes will come true, they are fulfilled. Although things turn out differently than the puppy expects, his faith pays off. The puppy's story illustrates the power of hope.

Readers who wish to experience this inspiring work can purchase "A Puppy's Special Day" at bookstores everywhere, or online at the Apple iTunes store, Amazon, Google Play or Barnes and Noble.
