First Novel in Books Series 'Trip #1' is Released

INDIANAPOLIS

American history unfolds before readers' eyes in "Trip #1: Meet Richard and Ellie" (published by AuthorHouse), the first novel in the Trip series by authors Lukas, S.K., and Jid the Kid.

"Trip #1" begins as the Civil War is escalating. A chance encounter brings Richard Myers, a Texan, together with beautiful Ellie Thorton, a North Carolina native. The two feel a special connection, but the war divides them. It is only when the war ends that the couple meets once more in New York City and decides to marry.

"We not only deal with the adventure surrounding a boy and girl meeting," the authors assert. "We are learning or relearning facts of history. Additionally, we deal with social issues through the generations."

"Trip #1" is the first in a planned series of eight books. "Trip #2" and "Trip #3" are also available to readers. Future installments will follow the characters and their children through events such as the Reconstruction Era, both world wars and the Great Depression up to the present day.
