Jessica Manca, Certified Executive Coach, launches her first self-published book, "Finding Passion, A Self-Discovery Approach for Navigating Career Crossroads" (Managing Mindspaces 2013) for professionals struggling with the dance of well-paying careers that leave them unfulfilled.

Jessica Manca, Founder of Managing Mindspaces, wants to empower readers with confidence when faced with life-changing career decisions. In her book, Manca introduces a unique approach using self-discovery exercises and coaching questions to intimately challenge thinking and understand the roots of dissatisfaction within one's career. The book is ideal for mid-career and preretirement individuals considering career change, improving work life balance, feeling unfulfilled or bored, or those considering starting their own business.

The book blends social science, autobiography, and professional coaching into a powerful learning experience to ask, "What do I really want?" "Finding Passion" is now available for purchase on Amazon (paperback and Kindle). The book's journey is an interesting testament to Manca's commitment to helping others by being vulnerable to recount the story of her last year as a management consultant.

Three years ago, Manca reached her tipping point when she had burned out within a well-paying career and was transformed by finding her passion. Through working with a professional coach and practicing self-reflection, she had rediscovered herself and worked to resolve feelings that she was meant to do something else.

She shares the warning signs she hid from herself and the personal change process she underwent to realign to the life she wanted. Her book contains eleven chapters with written exercises to find answers, explore options, and work at the reader's pace to make the changes desired.

Manca says, "I remember how much energy I spent thinking about what to do before taking action. This resource is the book and self-discovery process I wish I had known about when I was wrestling with what to do in my career."

Manca believes making personal change is an individual learning experience that requires self-awareness. She adds, "It's a very personal and individual journey to look within yourself and find the permission to listen to what you want, rather than what others, including your employer, want for you. I wrote this book to inspire hard-working professionals to make informed choices in their career before health, stress, and relationships are affected."
