SARATOGA, Calif.

Author Emily Weeth LaScola unveils a collection of humorous anecdotes accompanied by her drawings in her publication, "How Do I Do?" (published by Xlibris). She calls them "emotes." Occasionally shared with others, the "emotes" made immediate connections, elicited brand-new back stories and found universal recognition.

In the over-six decades that the author has eagerly held crayon, pencil or pen, her style of drawing has never before brought forth these figures, each of which poured out in a single line, unbidden. The "emotes," as she has named them, are gifts from God which free her to recognize the feelings each figures represents. Being a visual-learner herself, and quite detached from her emotions, she has been largely unable to identify her feelings without such graphic clues. These images have allowed her to connect with herself in a whole new way.

"How Do I Do?" is a visual treat to readers, something that can give them a glimpse into the author's feelings through the images they can greatly relate to.
