Pekin, Ill

Author Ellen Vanda believes women's role in society has evolved drastically over the past 40 years, leaving many juggling their educations, careers, family lives and spiritual needs. To encourage women, Vanda published her new book of spiritual inspiration, "Become: Be Who God Has Called You to Be - Come into His Presence and Become More Than You Ever Thought Was Possible" (published by WestBow Press).

"'Become' addresses many of the obstacles and challenges that women face today, providing biblical application, direction and encouragement to experience more from their relationship with God," Vanda says.

Vanda says her new book will help women who are facing the storms of life, unexpected unemployment, financial difficulty and uncertainty to hold on to their faith and place their hope in God. She wants her readers to know God desires to have an intimate relationship with them, and that He has a plan for their lives and wants to walk beside them every day.

"This book has a message for today's woman," Vanda says. "It is an easy read that will not only attract the reader's attention but engage their interest as they begin to relate the pages to their lives. It is a shorter book, something they can pick up and set down at their children's activities, in the lunch room, et cetera."
