Young author Isabelle Scott showcases her exceptional literary prowess in "Isabelle's Muse," (published by Xlibris) a compilation of her brilliant poetry work, from the third through seventh grades, offering all readers of any age, a look into the genius of a young mind who expresses her gifts through verse.

Scott grew up with books. From a very young age, she has been exposed to the infinite possibilities of words. Inspired by the ubiquitous experiences of life, she weaves poetry with grace, extracting meaning from both reality and imagination and transposing them into a self-fulfilling art of expression. Through her multi-themed verse, readers will find poetry that grounds on emotions, speculation; topics both current and enduring. The poems are written from the first and third persona to 'permit the indulgence of self-interpretation with familiar or vicarious experiences,' says Scott.

Below is an excerpt from one of her featured poems entitled "My Story:"

I am living all there is to live
By being as much of myself as I can
By loving, liking, learning
By fate, by observing
By wishing and hoping and dreaming
Why shouldn't I?
I am me
(And, if I'm lucky, I always will be)

Replete with illustrations put together by the young author herself, "Isabelle's Muse" splendidly captures the innocence of youth, the sincere passion for truth and the perceptive thoughts of a wise generation.
