Dr. Saundra J. Taulbee Releases 'You Can't Heal a Wound by Saying It's Not There'
In her new book "You Can't Heal A Wound By Saying It's Not There: How to Overcome Your Past, Rebuild Your Present, and Embrace Your Future" (published by AuthorHouse) author and Doctor of Mental Health, Dr. Saundra J. Taulbee, details how to identify personal wounds to overcome adversity.
Filled with vignettes from Taulbee's own life and the lives of her patients, the book seeks to help readers get rid of inner conflicts. The author's background in theology and psychiatry has helped her craft a book that is both deeply intimate and deeply motivating.
The book pays particular attention to the four areas that Taulbee sees as being at the forefront of wounds at the heart of national issues: homelessness, PTSD, racism and post-moderns ("that segment of culture who have been marginalized or ignored by mainstream religion" and who see truth as relative).
Taulbee, who has worked for over two decades in the counseling industry, sees her new work as a light illuminating the dark.
"I want readers to know," emphasizes Taulbee, "that their life has purpose and meaning, and that God will transform suffering and pain of the past so that you can use it to reach out and help touch someone else's life."
