In the critically acclaimed film, 'The Blind Side', the character Leigh Anne Tuohy takes in a mistreated boy. Her friends tell her, "You are changing that boy's life."

"No," she replies stoically, "he's changing mine."

This sentiment echoes how Dee Massengale felt about her adopted son Marial, one of the Lost Boys from Sudan. However, Marial tragically died on his 28th birthday in a car accident.

Having absolutely no living family of her own, Dee repeatedly over the years asked Marial if he would take care of her when she got old. His answer was always the same, "I will never leave you," a promise he has kept! Just days after his passing, Dee opened her laptop to find the screen was now a picture of Marial's face instead of a waterfall. Startled, she began hitting buttons to make it go away when a peacock appeared on the screen. Now she knew it must be a sign. Upon googling the symbolism of the peacock she learned it is immortality. Marial was letting her know he had not left her. This was to be just one of hundreds of the spirit communications that Dee refers to as her "little miracles from heaven" that have changed her life and her career.

After working as a rehabilitation therapist for 27 years, Dee now holds a doctorate of divinity specializing in spiritual grief counseling. Dr. Massengale feels she has evidence of the immortality of the soul and discusses this phenomenon in 'I Will Never Leave You: Memoirs of Surviving Grief through Spirit Communication'. This new book provides a myriad of anecdotal and photographic examples of Marial's paranormal contact.

With knowledge that reaffirms the beauty of the afterlife, 'I Will Never Leave You' illustrates the bonds of love and the boundaries it can break.
